DG Shahzad Sabir participated in the Pakistan National PolioPlus Committee meeting held on 10th July 2026 at 91 Shahrah-e-Iran, Clifton, Karachi, chaired by Mike McGovern, Chair of the Polio Oversight Board and International PolioPlus Committee, and co-chaired by PNPPC Chair Aziz Memon. DG Shahzad Sabir's participation reaffirmed District 3271's strong commitment and leadership in supporting Rotary's highest humanitarian priority — the eradication of polio. Mike McGovern briefed participants on recent Polio Oversight Board meetings in Islamabad and his engagements with the Prime Minister, polio eradication partners, and federal government representatives. Discussions focused on the current polio situation, partner coordination, and the continued efforts required to achieve a polio-free Pakistan — reaffirming Rotary's unwavering commitment to completing the final mile.
