Program to observe World Polio Day
In observance of World Polio Day, RCK New Central held a programme with its Interact Club at Al Furqan School, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
It was designed not only to raise awareness about polio but also to empower young leaders to take an active role in the fight against this preventable disease. Students led the proceedings and delivered speeches on polio vaccination, disease prevention, and dispelling misconceptions.
President Almas Tariq delivered the welcome address. Dr. Rabbani traced the history of the disease, highlighting Rotary’s leading role since 1979 in polio eradication and the significance of World Polio Day. AG Shanaz Ramzi appreciated their enthusiasm and encouraged leadership and community service.
RCKNC members presented polio caps to the 20 Interactors as a symbol of their commitment to a polio-free world. Dr. Rabbani thanked all participants and organizers for their valuable contributions to the success of the event.
