First Aid training for Al Furqan School students and teachers
Dr. Arjumand Rabbani, RCKNC Polio Chair and Rotary District 3271 Co-Chair, Disease Prevention & Treatment, facilitated a session on βFirst Aidβ at Al Furqan School, Channesar Goth.
She explained that first aid is the immediate care provided to an injured or ill person to prevent the condition from worsening and in emergencies to save life until professional help is available.
She discussed common situations requiring first aid, including burns, heat stroke, sprains, fractures, dog bites, bleeding, fainting etc. Practical guidance was provided on the appropriate first-aid measures for each situation. A CPR demonstration video was also shown to help students understand the basic principles of responding during a life-threatening emergency.
The session was interactive, attended by 79 students and 6 teachers, enhancing their knowledge of essential first-aid skills.
