RC Mirpurkhas Central Moves from Literacy Dialogue to Community Action
Rotary Club of Mirpurkhas Central held its fortnightly meeting under the leadership of Club President Rtn. Wali Muhammad Lashari, with a special focus on Basic Education and Literacy.
Chief Guest Dr. Chaman Mansha shared insights on the challenge of out-of-school children and the Government of Sindhβs interventions, particularly Non-Formal Education.
Taking the discussion towards action, RC Mirpurkhas Central is joining hands with the District School Education & Literacy Department and Peace Foundation to undertake a door-to-door survey in UC Jhilori, with coordination support from the Polio Team and District Health Department. The initiative aims to identify out-of-school children and generate local-level evidence to support their enrolment and access to learning opportunities.
During the meeting, Rtn. Muhammad Amin Arisar was specially recognised for his contribution to Teachers Training Programs, while Rtn. Muhammad Bux Kapri was recognised for his contribution to Membership Growth and Club Development.
The evening also celebrated the birthday of Rtn. Sikandar Ali Arisar and concluded with Rotary fellowship and dinner graciously hosted by Rtn. Dr. Seeta Bai.
From dialogue to partnership and action, RC Mirpurkhas Central continues to demonstrate how Rotarians can create lasting impact through education.
