Tree plantation drive at Urban Forest
On 9th August, RCK New Central and RCK Elite held a joint tree plantation drive at Urban Forest, Clifton, in collaboration with Friends of the Forest and Flying Carpet.
The program began with a tour of the forest, followed by plantation of moringa saplings donated by RCKNC by DG Shehzad Sabir, AG Shanaz Ramzi, President Almas Tariq and other Rotarians.
Partiicipants then enjoyed the tea and refreshments arranged for by RCK Elite. A bouquet, and a handwoven cloth bag were presented to the DG. All guests were also presented with environment-friendly, paintable bags.
After brief speeches by the host clubs, the program concluded with everyone singing national songs. It was a well-organised and enjoyable affair, with Rotarians as well as friends and family in attendance in large numbers.
