Dr. Arjumand Rabbani, RC Karachi New Central Polio Chair and District 3271 Co-Chair for Disease Prevention & Treatment, conducted an awareness session on Preventing Mother-to-Child Transmission of Hepatitis at Bilqis Edhi Midwifery School, Lyari on 15th July 2026. She advised midwives to counsel pregnant women to follow the instructions and guidance provided. The interactive session was attended by 33 midwifery students and 2 teachers — equipping future healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to protect mothers and newborns from one of Pakistan's most prevalent yet preventable diseases.
